My Godson, Seanie

Tonight, my cousin Candice called, told me to hold on and listen...so I did. Seanie came on, said, "Hi Drina" which is short for "Madrina" and began reading to me. He's only in Kindergarten...just 4 years old...soon to be 5. Oh how I smiled...there was nothing else I could do. I smiled and listened. I could picture his face focusing and reading. When he was finished, he said, "I'm finished." I told him over and over again how proud I was of him, and asked him to call me later in the week to read to me. That was the highlight of my day. Being a Godmother is one of my favorite roles in life. It's quite unique to Sean and I. We have a special bond that makes my heart melt. He makes me smile like no other child does. It's times like tonight where I feel I'm right where I'm supposed to be in life...and what's to come will when the time is right.

That's wonderful...you should take him to work with you and have him teach the kids how to read! I love how he said "I'm finished" at the end...awwww.
